Ancient Greek and Roman coins from Asia Minor

Coin ID #7143

Tarsos (BC 425-400) Stater

ca 425-400 BC. AR Stater (8.88g, 1h). Satrap on horseback riding left; behind, eagle perched left on branch; monogram below / Archer in kneeling-running stance right, drawing bow; monogram behind. VF, dark find patina, some roughness. Extremely rare early stater.

It is possible that the horseman is actually one of the late kings (Syennesis III?) of Cilicia.
