Koinon of Bithynia, Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AE33 / Tetrassarion (25.72g, 6h). AYT KAIC TPAI AΔPIANOC CЄBA, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right / BЄIΘYNIAC / KOINON, octa¬style temple on a podium and two steps; within the central intercolumniation, pellet; above, in the pediment, male figure (the emperor?) sacrificing over low altar to left, and with a pellet in the pedimental angles to left and right; on the roof, three acroteria: to left, Athena in a chariot to right; to right, Nike in a chariot to right; above, at the center, uncertain figure in a facing chariot. Dark patina. Minor scratch on Hadrian’s neck and slightly porous surfaces, otherwise, gVF.
