Commodus, as Caesar, 166-177 AD. AE37 (22.53g, 6h). M(?). Aelius Menophilus, archon. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Ε[Π Μ?] ΑΙΛ Μ-Η-ΝΟΦ[ΙΛΟΥ] APX, ΚΑΔΟΗΝΩΝ in exergue, Dionysus standing facing, head left; at feet, panther standing right, paw on cantharus. Apparently unpublished. VF, stripped with minor encrustation remaining, cleaning marks. Extremely rare city. Drewry Coll.; ex Burstein Coll. (Peus 366, 10/2000, lot 788).
