Ionia Uncertain (BC 570-540) Scarab - EL 1/24 Stater

ca 600-550 BC. EL 1/24 Stater (0.63g). Samian-Euboic standard. Figural type. Winged scarab / Rough incuse square punch. Good VF. Extremely rare, one of two known. This type is also known by a unique 1/48 stater (Rosen 353) and a unique 1/96 stater (Rosen Collection [Muenzen und Medaillen 72, 10/1987], lot 127).
