Commodus, as Caesar, 166-177 AD. AE32 (19.66g). Hermolaos, archon. Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust right / ΕΠΙ ΕΡΜΟΛΑΟΥ ΑΡC ΓΕΡΜΗΝΩΝ, Commodus on horseback charging right. VF, pale green patina, scratches in reverse field. Extremely rare - possibly only the third known specimen. Drewry Coll.; Ex Berk 108 (5/1999), lot 765.
