Lystra (BC 27-AD 14) AE 28 - Augustus

Augustus, 27 BC-14 AD. AE28 (11.84g, 9h), struck ca 25-6 BC. IMPE AVGVSTI (S retrograde), laureate head left; all within pelleted border / COL IVL/FEL CEM in upper left field, LVSTRA in exergue, priest standing left, plowing pomerium with yoke of oxen left and holding ornate staff in left hand. Good VF, green patina with olive overtones on reverse, light smoothing in fields of obverse. The cornucopia was erased from the die, but a trace is still visible. Ex Villemur Coll.
