Pseudo-autonomous issue, time of Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AE17 (2.77g, 6h). Athenodorus, magistrate. Laureate head of young Heracles right, lion skin tied at neck / Club and bow in bowcase. Good VF, green patina with earthen overtones, minor adjustment marks. Obverse struck with die of exceptionally fine style and better than the BM specimen. Extremely rare. Alighieri Collection.
