Methymna (BC 500-450) Diobol

ca 500-450 BC. AR Diobol (1.36g). Facing head of Gorgon, tongue protruding, hair on forehead dotted / Bearded male head right, hair long at back, in Corinthian helmet, within dotted square border in shallow incuse. Apparently an unpublished reverse die, heavy dark patina, some surface corrosion but without wear, extremely rare.
