Caracalla, 198-217 AD. AE27 (12.94g, 1h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Caracalla, raising hand and holding scepter, enthroned left on quinquereme with four or five rowers visible, gubernator at stern; quinquereme decorated with signum at prow, vexillum inscribed VI/C at stern. Near EF, green patina. Extremely rare. From Group CEM.
