Elagabalus, 218-222 AD. AE42 - Medallion (36.00g, 6h). Ti. Claudius Alexander, theologos and strategus. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; countermark: animal suckling infant in incuse circle / Hercules advancing right, holding raised club and lion skin, fighting Amazon (Hippolyte) standing right; name in legend. VF, red and brown patina, rough. Extremely rare.
