Herakleia Pontika (BC 350) Tridrachm

Under tyrant Satyros, 353-347 BC. AR Tridrachm (11.77g, 1h), struck ca 350 BC. Head of youthful Herakles wearing lion's skin headdress to left; club below / Head of Hera to left, wearing turreted stephane and pendant earring, crescent below chin, ΗΡΑΚΛΕΙΑ to right. Very rare. Attractive grey patina. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise aEF. Ex Star coll.; ex Leu 48 (5/1989), 211; ex Leu 2 (4/1972), 221.

Originally identified as a Tetradrachm - a Tridrachm is more plausible based on weight
