Ancient Greek and Roman coins from Asia Minor

Coin ID #6936

Uncertain (BC 450-400) turtle - Hemiobol

ca 5th century BC. AR Hemiobol (7mm, 0.26g). Bee alighting to right / Turtle in incuse square. Unpublished in the standard references. VF, light porosity.

The bee would seem to point to an attribution to Ephesos, but there is really nothing like it in that series. Silver fractions with turtles have been attributed to various locations from Lesbos to Lycia, and provide no help in identifying this unrecorded type.
